Lessons in Practice is an independent training provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorised by Anthropic PBC.

Claude is a product of Anthropic and "Claude" and "Anthropic" are trademarks of Anthropic. We use those names to say what our course is about, which is what trademark law allows a name to be used for. We have not asked Anthropic for permission, we have not been given any, and nothing we publish should be read as Anthropic's view.

Our course is not an official Claude course. It is not certified, approved, or reviewed by Anthropic. If you want Anthropic's own documentation, it is free and it is on their website, and we recommend reading it.

The same applies to every other company whose product or logo appears in our material. Product names, logos and brands are the property of their owners and appear for identification only.

The certificate is a certificate of completion

When you finish the course we issue a certificate recording that you completed it. That is exactly what it is and it is all it is.

It is not a qualification. It is not accredited, licensed, or recognised by any educational body, professional body, or regulator, and we have not applied to any of them. No employer has agreed to accept it. If you put it on a CV, present it as what it says: completion of a 28-day online course run by us.

We do not promise you will earn anything

Nothing we sell is an investment, a business opportunity, or a route to a particular income. We do not promise that this course will make you money, get you a job, get you a promotion, or protect your job from anything.

We have no earnings data about anyone who has taken this course, and we would not publish an income figure even if we did.

Where we show a statistic about AI and the labour market, we cite the study it came from and the year it was published, and we say on the same screen that it is a statistic about the labour market rather than a claim about what you will earn. The distinction is not a formality. A published figure about what jobs advertise is not a prediction about a person, and we will not use one as though it were.

Educational purposes

The course teaches you how to use an AI assistant for work and study. It is general education, not advice about your situation.

Nothing in it is legal, financial, medical, tax, or professional advice, and neither the course nor the AI tools it teaches should be used as a substitute for a qualified professional. AI assistants produce confident text that is sometimes wrong; a substantial part of what we teach is how to notice that. Check anything that matters.

Our advertising uses AI-generated presenters and imagery

The people who appear in our advertisements, and much of the imagery in them, are generated by AI. They are not real customers, not real students, and in most cases not real people at all. Nobody in our advertising is testifying to an experience they had, because they did not have one.

We disclose this in the advertisements themselves as well as here.

Where an advertisement or a page shows a screen from the product, it is the real product. Where it shows an illustrative chart or an example schedule, it is labelled as illustrative on the part that is illustrative.

Reviews, ratings, and student numbers

We do not publish testimonials we cannot attribute, ratings we have not earned, press logos for coverage we do not have, or counts of students we do not have.

At the time of writing we have none of those things, so none of them appear anywhere on this site. When they exist they will appear with a source, and the numbers will be read from our records rather than typed by a copywriter.

Third-party tools and prices

We describe AI tools that other companies make and charge for. Their features, their limits and their prices are theirs to change and they change often. What a lesson says about a third-party tool was true when the lesson was written; check the tool's own site before relying on it.

You will need your own access to Claude to follow most of the course. That is not included in what you buy from us.

Accuracy

We try to keep the course correct and current, and we correct lessons when we find they have gone out of date. We do not warrant that everything in it is accurate or complete at every moment.
